Check availability - L'Antico Convento
The farmhouse "Ancient Convent" is the place where monks held all their daily practices of prayer and work, cultivation of olive trees, vineyards and whatever could support the small community of Bacchereto.
Entering in the house, you are immediately in contact with the atmosphere that animates it: the austerity of the structure, the elegance of the furnitures and the familiar manner reconcile, giving to the visitors a pleasant welcome.
"Ancient Convent" is made up of seven large double rooms with stunning views of the surrounding hills and equipped with all modern facilities, each one with its own name and colour that identifies the fruits that monks kept in each space.
So we have the Peach room, Yellow Plum room, Apricot room, Red Grape room, Corbezzolo room, Sage room and Wheat room.
Not only private relax but also large common areas: the various lounges where you can talk with the guests, play the piano, read a good book, enjoy the thrill of a dive in the past spending a pleasant evening in the old cellar, billiard room where do a game between friends, the dining room where every morning are laid tables for the breakfast buffet that offers guests a wide choice of our cuisine specialties: homemade desserts with our seasonal jams, cereal biscuits, oil shortbreads, tozzetti and tarts. Every day different cakes and pastries that come from our tradition and imagination, offered in the buffet with meat, cheese, yogurt, fruit juices, bread and fresh fruit.
"Ancient Convent" has, on the first floor, a small library, lighted by a large arched window overlooking the garden, pool and surrounding hills. In addition, to provide a more enjoyable stay, our guests can take advantage of the TV lounge and the elegant bar tasting a glass of our wines and our reserve grappa.
It is available the wi-fi connection.
Strolling around the "Ancient Convent" you can enjoy the magnificent landscape outlined by the surrounding hills. In summer, our guests can sit by the pool on chaise lounges in wrought iron, or under the nearby gazebo to enjoy a drink, but also organize lunches and dinners on the large wooden table under the porch.
The jewel of the garden is the largest gazebo, scenic, up a short stone staircase, ideal place for tasty appetizers while enjoying a broad view of the valley and the city of Florence and Prato.
